Experience:
Before becoming a solicitor Clare worked for the NHS Pension Scheme and was heavily involved in dealing with pensions on divorce. She has worked within the field of family law since 2007 and was head of the family law department at a busy Blackpool firm before joining Scott-Moncrieff & Associated Ltd in 2013.
Whilst working for her previous employer as head of the family department in a busy Blackpool town firm, her previous employer quotes that she is 'the best young lawyer on the Fylde Coast.'
Clare is a member of Resolution.
Clare’s work includes all aspects of the law relating to children in both public and private law. In her public law practice, Clare represents parents and extended family members and has undertaken complex cases including those involving serious / life threatening non-accidental injury cases and sexual harm. She has represented clients who are faced with allegations in respect of drugs, alcohol and domestic violence. She has represented many vulnerable clients as well as those for whom the Official Solicitor has been appointed to act. As well as dealing with adoption proceedings, Clare's private law expertise has included the more complex residence and contact disputes involving parental alienation, intractable disputes and other cases where the court has had to appoint a Guardian to represent the interests of the children.
In Injunction proceedings, Clare regularly represents both applicants and respondents and has experience of making emergency without notice applications. She has links with Women's Aid and so can help the most vulnerable at difficult times in their life.
