Scott-Moncrieff solicitor Terence Channer has successfully acted for Sabbir Malik in a high profile case against the Metropolitan Police, in which Mr Malik has received £18,500 damages for wrongful arrest.

Terence has a nationwide reputation for high level actions against the Police. He explains:

“The media has picked up on the importance of this case because Mr Malik is a counter-extremism expert who was wrongfully arrested on two separate occasions. We issued proceedings against the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police for trespass, assault, wrongful arrest and unlawful detention.

“I am pleased to say that Mr Malik has now received compensation for the two separate incidents when Metropolitan police officers unlawfully entered his property and arrested him.

“Mr Mailk, who is extremely well-qualified, speaking several languages and holding a Masters degree, has also received a letter of apology from the Met.”
