1. Make sure you employ excellent administrators and support workers – they’re a lifeline for fee earners working remotely.
 
2. Foster an ethos that will attract good people to your business. Few will take the risk of working remotely for a business that can’t support them.
 
3. Have robust case management and file review systems, and treat infractions as warnings of possible trouble. 

4. See the business’s task as supporting remote-working fee earners so that they can focus on what they’re good at. 

5. Have parties – make sure remote workers and business support staff socialise with their colleagues and feel like they’re part of your business, rather than just ‘hired hands’.
