Legal Experience

Lee started work as a property lawyer, moving on to defamation and copyright litigation and subsequently specialising in media contracts, wills (including the appointment of literary Executors) and probate. This diverse background enables her to advise clients on a wide range of legal problems.

Media clients include publishers, photographic and advertising agencies, and individuals, such as authors, artists, television and theatrical producers. Her background in media litigation gives her a unique insight into drafting and negotiating media and entertainment contracts, including publishing, licensing, film, TV and merchandising agreements.

With over 20 years' experience of dispute resolution, Lee's background enables her to advise on probate disputes, including incapacity, undue influence, and Inheritance Act claims, and on property ownership problems and disputes.

Lee also has considerable experience of drafting Declarations of Trust (for property purchased in joint names), Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and of Court of Protection applications for deputyships.  This includes making fast track applications in urgent matters, and appointments of new trustees to enable property transactions to go ahead where a joint owner has lost capacity.
