Mike Powell qualified as a solicitor after a career in industry working for a number of blue chip companies in the retail, banking, insurance and manufacturing sectors in the UK, Europe and the USA.
Mike specialises in Employment law and advises both employers and employees. He has advised many clients on cases including unfair dismissal, sex, race, disability and age discrimination, redundancy, TUPE and family-friendly law. Mike also advises clients on disciplinary and grievance proceedings.
Mike prides himself on offering practical down to earth advice which is value for money. He considers that his background in industry and the variety of environments he has worked in helps him to understand the problems employers and employees face and to achieve successful solutions.
Mike has given a number of talks on employment law to HR representatives of large employers and owners of smaller companies, and he has also written several articles for various publications.
