Diane Astin qualified as a solicitor in 1989. She specialises in housing, community care, asylum support and public law. She has extensive experience of working with the voluntary sector, having been employed by Islington Law Centre, Shelter and the Public Law Project. In addition to her legal practice Diane is also an experiences trainer and regularly designs and presents training courses for both voluntary organisations and local authorities. She has been a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Westminster and London Metropolitan and is the author of Housing Law: an Adviser’s Handbook (LAG, 2nd edition, 2011).
