Mental Health Law

We represent clients who experience mental health problems. We advise on applications to Mental Health Tribunals (MHT's), applications to Hospital Managers, aftercare arrangements and other issues affecting detained mental health patients and those under supervision in the community. We have a particular expertise in advising mentally disordered offenders.

We act for clients in many areas of England and Wales and are strongly represented in the London, the south of England and south Wales.

We have a contract with the Legal Services Commission so can offer legal aid, subject to eligibility criteria.

Applications to the MHRT are not means tested, other types of case are. If you are not eligible for legal aid we can advise on private funding arrangements.

We are also able to make arrangements to see mental health clients in the South East of England, South West of England, Central England, East of England. Newcastle  and the Midlands.
