We advise on possible miscarriages of justice. We deal with appeals against both conviction and sentence, including tariff/minimum term cases in respect of indeterminate sentences.
Where the facts warrant it we prepare cases to go directly to the Court of Appeal or, where appeal rights have been exhausted, we prepare cases for submission to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC). We have a particular interest in applicants who wish to argue that they should have received a hospital order under the Mental Health Act, rather than a prison sentence.
We act for clients in England and Wales.
We have a contract with the Legal Services Commission so can offer legal aid, subject to eligibility criteria. If you are not eligible for legal aid we can advise on private funding arrangements.
