We are authorised by the Law Society to take up to 4 trainees at a time. As a matter of policy we do not take on trainees unless they have had experience of working with our core client groups – detained patients (including mental disordered offenders) and prisoners. Those that do not have the necessary experience can gain it though work experience with the firm, on the clear understanding that an offer of work experience with the firm does not guarantee, or even suggest, that a training contract will be offered subsequently.
It is not unusual for our trainees to be able to offset some of their prior employment and work experience against the length of their training contract. We do not, therefore, have a fixed time for starting training contracts, but offer contracts to begin when that of a previous trainee is ending. Details of available training contracts will be shown on this site. An indication will be given in the classified ads of Legal Action.
